Help choose the logo for the Go London winners

By lauren | Published: October 18th, 2010

As one of the prizes for winning the Go London Social Innovation Compeition winner Danielle and her idea Go 10,000 headed to M&C Saatchi to begin designing the projects logo. Here’s what Danielle had to say about the experience…

saatchiinnit“I spent the afternoon with Jonathoan Muddell, the creative designer who works on the Change 4 Life campaign. The workshop began by discussing Jonathan’s work for Change 4 life, the use and value of different types of imagery and my vision for Go 10,000, spending time thinking about images and logos used by similar challenge based projects, walking initives and how Go 10,000 fits in with both the Go London brand and the inspire logo.

I felt it was really important to the values ingrained within my idea that the logo should be fun, demonstrate physical activity, teamwork and use inclusive imagery. It was a productive afternoon – and we have over ten logo ideas to choose from!”

Now it’s over to you. Help Danielle decide by telling her which of the logos from M&C Saatchi is your favourite? Please do leave a comment below, or contact us through twitter @Go_London.

Thanks for all of your comments, it's good to know the favourites and how we can modify them to make a great logo. Thanks for helping me and hope to have the final one soon, in the meantime the more feedback the better, so direct your friends to the logos so you all can be part of it too!

I like G and J. Pros to G are like to Change for Life, looks fun and helps understand the concept. As others suggested I think G with a wheelchair user would be great. Some of the others are a bit too busy for me. This is why I like J also - inclusive but not too busy.

  • Ewaponiecka

I like logoC. It is simple and the direction of people seems to add to order compering to the J one.It helps with focus??

  • Jose Reis

    Logo F! fun fun fun!

  • Julie1057

Hi like G best then F

  • Maudlyn Flemming

I like logo F because it looks like fun and it represented all ages and disabilty which you would find in any community up and down the counrty.

  • Philippa

I like F the best. It incorporates everything you're looking for...

  • Sophie Phillips

F is my favourite - clear, colourful and inclusive!

  • Helen

    I like logo F!!

  • Susan Meehan

Logos J and F are my favourite. I think they best portray the values and aspects of the idea. J would be my clear winner if it was more colourful.

  • Derek Briscombe

Logo G is my favourite as in a generic context it illustrates most activities, and it is easy to relate to.

  • Jessie Frost

F and G are my favourites! I think a lot of people will instantly recognise the colourful figures from the Change 4 Life campaign, and it is really positive to make this link. I think 'Go 10,000' is more catchy than 'Go London Challenge' which is why I'm not too sure about E. I think it is really important to ensure that it is an inclusive image, so that people with disabilities don't feel excluded - this is particularly important if it is going to be rolled out to schools... Whilst an image of a wheelchair user is perhaps a cliche way of demonstrating disability, it is universally recognisable so this may be useful to include in some way in logo G?

  • Alex Bultitude

E, F and G are the best I think. With G i would suggest replacing the cyclist with a wheelchair user. I like the fact that they have really active pictograms and one with a walking stick demonstrating its open to everyone. A and B whilst they are great logo's emphaisis activity (sweat band etc) and whilst this would attract me to it it may deter those less interested in sport.

  • Jonathan Payne

I think logo E, F or G. They immediately tell you that it is a physical challenge of sorts and the (recognisable) figures show that it is open to the general public. I think a couple of the others, although attractive looking, are a little ambiguous and wouldn't (as a person interested in sport) immediately grab my attention as a fitness/health event.

  • Keith Neville

D or I are the best. Keep it simple and recognisable. The others are a bit too busy for me!

  • Katie H

We like logo G best although perhaps it could have a walker rather than cyclist to keep it clear that it's a walking challenge?
