Keep fit with mum

To organise a day of light sports or fitness activities that can be done by parents and children. This could be organised on school premises or in local sports facilities. Make it interesting and appealing to the kids so they want to come and bring their mums to take part too. May need to make the event women only environment in order to get some mums to actually come and take part as they may feel more comfortable with this. Could even be something in the local park. Joining in with the children will give them the feeling that they are not taking this step alone and may give them confidence to continue to some form of exercise long term.
