I would like to see incentives to create Netball or Rounders (Softball) Teams in local green spaces for older women. Non competitive – purely for fun. There is currently nothing like this that women over 30 can enjoy as an excellent way of keeping fit. Men have football teams, rugby and other sports where they meet and have fun in a non competitive (that is not at a county level) way, to let off steam, experience being part of a team, have a laugh (very therapeutic!) whatever their level of fitness.
Hi, I'm the Physical Activity for Health Co-ordinator for North London. I'm an over-30 female, and this idea really appeals. Minimally competitive team sport combines having fun, getting fit, and having some accountability to the group, which keeps you coming along. Sounds great!

Great idea. Enfield Council have an initiative called Back To Netball (for Women / Girls) - see website http://www.enfield.gov.uk/info... In addition The Walker Cricket Ground (multi sport environment) in Southgate, Enfield, North London have had their tennis / netball courts resurfaced (floodlights about to be 'turned on') and are looking to provide netball club / teams / individuals to utilise these facilities for competitive or social netball. Contact tennis@thewalkerground.co.uk - subject heading Netball Interest.

Yes, I used to like netball at school yet there are susprisingly few places to play it if you don't want to have to organise a group yourself... Let's do it!

It would be great wouldn’t it?
